DIY Laptop Sleeve

My sewing inspiration seems to come and go, and now it’s definitely coming. Here’s another easy little DIY project that I’ve kept myself busy with and thought I’d share with youse guys. As I have a new laptop I needed a laptop sleeve, but didn’t like the prices in the shops so decided to make one myself instead. (I’ve included the video I watched to learn how to make this at the end of this post.)

My New Hair!

Here it finally is; my fringe!

After 3 years of cutting my own hair (the hairdresser said my hair was almost 2″ longer in the back haha) I decided that it’s time for a proper haircut. And it was worth the effort, it’s such a mood lifter to have a new look! Matthew thinks he has a new girlfriend now, that’s how unadventurous I’ve been when it comes to my head in the past…Might still dye it darker though, will have to see what it looks in daylight first.

Sunny Spring Sunday

Good evening everyone,

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. It’s been a sunny few days here – such an energy boost to the system! Not much going on up here, just the usual work – gym, work – gym, work – gym, weekend routine (we’re one of those annoying couples that go to the gym together). We’ve had a person leave at work and another one start, which means it’s been quite busy and that I’ve had to take on more responsibility. Which I don’t mind as I want to learn as much as I can.

Supereasy Bread Recipe

Just a quick post about bread. I think homemade bread is fantastic, but always thought it to be quite complicated to make and for it to require all sorts of equipment. Well, had I bothered googling how to make bread (and stopped making excuses) I would’ve been baking my own bread for a long time now.

DIY Knot Hairband

Hi guys,

I don’t know if it’s the spring that has inspired me to get my sewing machine out and come up with all sorts of little DIY projects, but I’m definitely enjoying creating things with my own little hands at the moment. I saw this easy DIY project on a colourful Finnish blog and immediately decided to try it out and share it with you, in English. Will try and keep it short and sweet, so here we go.

Spring is definitely here – it’s light when I wake up, it seems like the birds have invaded the city and it’s been quite sunny for the past two weeks.

Spring also means it’s time to put away winter coats (well, maybe not quite yet) and get more colour into the wardrobe. And I also think it’s time for new hair – have decided to finally get a fringe and to go darker – not as dark as Alexa Chung though. Can’t wait! Anyhoo, this is what I like this spring:

A Day in Glasgow

Hi all!

It’s been a beautiful, sunny day here in Edinburgh today, there is definitely spring in the air! I’ve been working from home today, for a very silly reason.

Glasgow Science Centre Rocks!

When I was googling what there is to see and do in Glasgow the Science Centre kept popping up, so we decided to give it a go. Admission was £10, but worth the money in our opinion. However, be prepared for hoards of families with children – this was a Saturday so probably less busy during weekdays.
