4 Weeks Old Lana vs Maya

When Lana was 4 weeks old I took some photos of her and wrote this blog post – so now that Maya is 4 weeks old too I naturally want to do the same, so that I can compare! It was funny reading the blog post as I could pretty much just copy and paste most of it – that’s how similar my girls have been in their 4 first weeks.

Home for Christmas

On last week’s Monday I posted the passport applications for Maya and Lana (apparently she needs a new one as you can’t tell it’s her from the old photo…) and couldn’t believe my eyes when they arrived on that same Friday! That meant I could book our flights to Finland for me and the girls before the prices became too insane. Yay!

Lana is with her Nana and Pop, Maya is on her 50th nap today and since we’re getting a new boiler installed I can’t do the dishes or clean – so here I am blogging instead 🙂 Although to be honest I didn’t think I would have time to blog at all after Maya was born! Anyway, I just wanted to show you one part of my birthday present from Matthew because I think you should all know about this exciting and modern jewellery brand!

My birth story

Ok I need to write this down before I forget! As I mentioned in my previous post labour only lasted 4 hours this time – but there is more to the story than that…

Little Miss Maya is Finally Here!

Lana’s little sister, Maya Elodie, finally arrived on the first of November – four days after her due date. She was even bigger than her big sister was at 4180 grams and 55 cm (!) I’ve done a birth story blog you can read here, so won’t go into detail about how the birth was – but I can say that it was a quick affair that lasted only 4 hours from the first contraction to Maya’s birth. It was a water birth, which was a great experience and something I warmly recommend!
