At almost 5 months Lana is now too big for her moses basket, so we’ve finally moved her to her massive cot bed where she can roam around with her little plush friends. At the moment she’s still so excited about being in her new bed that she’s started waking up to play in the middle of the night…She falls back asleep on her own though and I’m sure it’s just temporary, so I’m not too worried!
Matthew’s back to work full time now, so I’m at home with Lana trying to cope with one hand – which is working out better than I thought. I’m actually surprised by how much I can still do, especially now when there’s no pain at all. I can go out with the pram as well, which is nice. On Friday the cast comes off and I’m a bit worried that my arm will look all deformed and skinny…But so so looking forward to being able to wash my arm again haha!
Today it’s been 25 degrees outside, so warm that Lana was able to only wear a cute summer dress. Tomorrow it should be even warmer 🙂 It was Matthew’s birthday yesterday, so we had dinner with his family. We also celebrated it last Friday with dinner at a nice local restaurant. It was our first dinner out without Lana and being constantly interrupted, however, instead there was a big, smelly dog at the table right next to us that kept wagging its tail so that it kept touching me – without the owner apologising or even acknowledging it. Although I’m not a dog person I don’t mind dogs (especially cute shorthaired ones), but having one right next to me in a nice restaurant ruined the experience a little bit. I wouldn’t have brought a baby there either, so why bring a dog? Don’t want to annoy any dog owners out there (of which I’m sure most wouldn’t have taken their dogs to the restaurant in question anyway), but remember that not all people appreciate the company of a dog when they’re trying to have a romantic baby-free dinner! 🙂
Haven’t really taken any photos lately, so here are just a bunch of Lana enjoying her new bed 🙂
One more week until Finland, yay!

PS. Does anyone know if the bed as it is now is safe for a baby that can roll – or should we lower the base?
