We go to the Botanics all the time – it’s near our house and such a beautiful place to hang out in. So when the opportunity came to enjoy our favourite Edinburgh green space after dark, enhanced by lights and music, I obviously had to go! Botanic Lights is an event that takes place in the Botanic Garden from the 13th October to 6th of November where visitors follow a magical trail of light through the gardens.
So last night we wrapped up warm and walked to the Botanics. We brought Matthew’s tripod to be able to take non-blurry photos in the dark, and as I haven’t used it before Matthew has actually taken most of the photos (although the best ones are mine of course :)).
Lana enjoyed the trail too, especially the bright lights that she just had to from a centimetre’s distance…She also tried to take off into the dark all the time so we were juggling taking photos with running after Lana and trying not to leave the buggy behind. Our usual family day out in other words! Here are some of the best photos from the night:
Such a great idea to use the garden as a canvas for the light and totally worth the £15 ticket! It’s a really nice thing to do as a family and also a very romantic thing (if you don’t have a hyper toddler with you haha). The cafe is open late and there are stalls selling hot drinks to keep you warm. Highly recommend!
