Autumn Colours

I already decided that I wouldn’t contribute to the vast amount of autumnal photos out there, and have tried not to take too many pictures of yellow leaves – but then we went to the Botanics yesterday and it was such a beautiful day that I just had to take a few photos…Autumn is so my favourite season!

Are you fed up with seeing autumnal photos already?

Vackra foton och vackra färger! Mycket löv på träden fortfarande, verkar det som.

Nope, never fed up of Autumn photos! Can’t get enough of the leaves turning red in real life or on screen. Especially loved that berry shot you had in there. The Botanics are GORGEOUS – we almost got married there (ended up doing it in Edinburgh Zoo instead, my inner kid won out!).

Yeah it was brilliant and worked out well to give kids and other guests something to do during the down time. Yup, I’m a Londoner but husband is from Edinburgh. He moved down to London after we’d been dating long distance for about 18 months but most of his friends and family are still up there so we go up quite often and it was really nice to get married there.

Wow, 18 months must’ve been tough! Hope he enjoys London – definitely a bit different from Edinburgh 🙂 I still miss London every now and then!

Did you move up from London to Ed then? Yeah there are big ups and downs to both. He misses Edinburgh but my work is here and he can work remotely. Would be nice to move up one day though-I’m def starting to appreciate the quieter style of life in Edinburgh. Much less hectic and yet still loads of cool stuff going on. And the seaside! So close – right in the city. That’s my favourite but I think.

Yeah we moved up so we could afford to move in together in a nice flat (had slugs in my first flat in London…) and obviously start a family at some point – which happened a bit sooner than later haha!I loved living in London but it was just too expensive and I couldn’t stand the tube anymore ? Whereabouts in London do you live?

Eugh – I hate slugs. Like really kind of scared of them. I had mice in one flat in London, that was pretty icky too… North of the river seems to be better on the vermin front. We are in Kilburn area and the only issue we have is damp (although that’s not great either). Yeah, tube is lovely outside of rush hour but not so great in peak times. Property in Edinburgh is incredible – you get some serious square footage up there after London!

Kilburn is nice – it’s actually where I spent the first 6 weeks or so after moving to London 🙂 And I just remembered now that there where slugs too in that flat – I even found one in my bed!!(sorry if this will give you nightmares!) And everything I owned got covered in mould too…Good times. I later moved to Finsbury Park, top floor, and things got so much better – no slugs or mould! On the other hand the corner of our house was a drug dealing hotspot…Guess you can’t have it all haha!

Hahaha this comment made me laugh so much – yep London property market teaches you to lower your expectations pretty quickly!

At the time I didn’t even care – was too busy being happy about living in London and partying away ?
