We’ve been back in Edinburgh for a few days now and starting to settle back into everyday life here. It’s nice to be back, although the weather is nowhere near as nice as it is in Finland – I already got used to sunshine every day! Anyway, here are some pics of our last 11 days in the motherland.
The lovely Bosgård Farm is run by two of my friends and located around 10 kilometres from Porvoo. I’ve visited for a pool party a couple of times, but haven’t had lunch at the restaurant or walked around the grounds before. So, a sunny Wednesday a few weeks ago was the perfect day to finally pay the farm a visit!
A must visit for everyone who’re thinking about buying or building a house, who’re interested in interior design or curious about the housing trends is the Asuntomessut Housing Fair 2015. The fair is organised every year in different locations, and the houses and flats built there are actually for sale and the whole area will become a new neighbourhood.
I’ve really missed my beautiful Helsinki, so shortly after arriving to Finland my parents and brother with family got into our cars and drove the one hour drive to Helsinki city. We couldn’t have picked a colder day though, so instead of walking along the shore we sought shelter (and lunch) in Karuselli cafe and restaurant right after arriving.
Summer is finally here! It’s been warm and sunny most of the week and this week looks even better 🙂 We’ve been to the beach a couple of times (where we had a little photo shoot with my pregnant friend above), visited an organic farm, picked some more berries, had a child-free cheese and wine picnic with the girls, spent time with Lana’s cousins and just enjoyed the nice weather. Oh, and we also got a visit from a furry friend with wings…:/
Another happening week in Moominland is over. Matthew arrived on Tuesday, so Lana’s been reunited with her dad after two weeks apart. We’ve met some relatives, had some great meals out, been to Ikea (before Matthew arrived – lucky him) visited a housing fair, done a bit of shopping, played tennis and gone for several runs, mingled with the tourists in my own town and had an amazing brunch with friends I haven’t seen for ages!
