I get invites to events every now and then, but haven’t been to one in a while since I haven’t really wanted to leave Maya in the evening yet. But when I got invited to Jan De Vries Health Food Store for a blogger evening I had to say yes as it was right up my street. So I asked my friend Olli who runs the @myEdinburgh Instagram account to join me and told Matthew he had to get the girls to bed on his own and headed out for a healthy evening.
At the beginning of August I watched the controversial documentary called “What the Health” and as many other people went vegan straight away. I didn’t even decide to go vegan, I just woke up the following morning and realised I couldn’t stomach any animal-derived foods. I ate a completely vegan diet for the following 2,5 months – which also pretty much coincided with my third trimester of pregnancy.
I’m not hugely into beauty products and makeup, but a while back I decided it was time to do something about my quite dry skin and fine lines from the outside as well – I was only using one cream (Aveeno) for both day and night and it was clearly not moisturising enough. I still use it during the day though as I do like it. I started googling and came across a whole range of interesting products, and I want to share with you the ones that I’ve liked the most and can recommend.
My teeth have always been fairly white, but I’ve noticed them getting more and more yellow the older I get – and I don’t like it! Whitening teeth professionally isn’t really something I feel like I want to spend loads of money on just yet, and my teeth have become a lot more sensitive since having Lana that I’m also worried it might hurt.
