Finnish nature is at its best at the moment: green and full of colour. I got so inspired by the abundance of flowers on our evening walk the other day that I was too focused on snapping photos to notice the lovely little fella we bumped into. Scroll down to the end to find out who he was!
This will be a bit of a Throwback Thursday post from our short break to the Trossachs National Park last summer. Our friends drove up from London the last weekend in July, and as we thought it would be nice for them to see something else than ‘just’ Edinburgh, we decided to stay in a caravan at the hotel we stayed in for my 30th birthday. So after a night with dinner in the sun followed by some stand-up comedy in Edinburgh we got up earlyish the following day and started driving north.
Happy Easter from a sunny Edinburgh!
We’ve enjoyed sunshine pretty much all week, which means that there are heaps of flowers everywhere (and my pollen allergy is starting to kick in). I’m always making fun of my mum for taking countless photos of flowers, but this time I’m guilty of that myself…So this post will be dedicated to my mum, enjoy!
Good evening everyone,
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. It’s been a sunny few days here – such an energy boost to the system! Not much going on up here, just the usual work – gym, work – gym, work – gym, weekend routine (we’re one of those annoying couples that go to the gym together). We’ve had a person leave at work and another one start, which means it’s been quite busy and that I’ve had to take on more responsibility. Which I don’t mind as I want to learn as much as I can.
First of all I have some good news; my little nephew finally arrived last Saturday, can’t wait to meet him! Have to wait a couple of months though, until we go to Finland again 🙁 We decided to celebrate Christmas here (partly because the flights were so expensive) and New Year in Finland, so this will be my first British Christmas 🙂 If anyone knows of any New Year parties in Porvoo or Helsinki do let me know!
It had to be my time to turn 30 at some point, and now it’s finally happened. But who cares?! I feel like 20 and still get asked for ID almost every time I buy alcohol (believe it or not) so maybe turning 30 isn’t that bad after all! And I do feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin than I did when I was 20, so wouldn’t go back even if I could. I actually mean it!
Yet another week has gone by so quickly that it almost scares me…
Anyhoo, work is getting busier every day as the company keeps growing at a speed so fast that we’re running out of desks to sit at. We’ve gotten quite a few new clients on board lately which is a good thing, but can soon make us swamped with work unless we get more new people. Our client base is really varied, I do online marketing stuff for companies that sell shoes, energy chewing gum, cleaning services, garden rooms, storage space, IT services, jewellery, pest control services, promote wedding bands etc.
