The Ally Bally Bee Project

Something I haven’t told you about here on the blog yet (because Matthew hasn’t let me until now) is The Ally Bally Bee Project. Around two years ago, just before Lana was born and my grandmother’s Alzheimer’s got worse Matthew had an idea about creating a personalised children’s book that explains dementia to your wee one.

When I look back at 2016 I think of it as a good year overall. Perhaps not on a global level but on a personal level it has been good – apart from my grandmother passing away of course. It’s been a big year with marriage, a new job and buying a flat. I’ve seen Lana grow into a sunny little human being who’s already outclevering her mamma and pappa. I often feel grateful, because let’s face it, there’s no reason I shouldn’t – but for some reason I often keep these thoughts to myself and voice the negative, ungrateful opinions instead. So to start focusing on the good stuff I want to write about what I’ve been feeling grateful for over the past week!

Into Uncertainty

That might be because in this vote it was the older generations who chose the future path for the younger generations, a path so many don’t want to go down.

The Last Day Of 2015

When I think back on 2015 the first thought that comes to my mind is how incredibly fast it’s gone by. This time last year I was 35 weeks pregnant and eagerly waiting to meet Lana – and when I did, everything changed. She came in to our lives in the beginning of February and charmed us off our feet, and I’ve spent almost every single hour with her ever since. And you know what they say: time flies when you’re having fun (and changing nappies) 🙂

Preparing For Take-Off

On Thursday Lana’s about to get on her 13th flight, to Finland via Stockholm once again. The last two weeks before our month-long visit to the land of Santa have been full of activities and unfortunately also full of snot, sneezes and teething pain 🙁 Here’s what we’ve been up to:
