Edinburgh Christmas Market

Hello everyone!

Last Saturday we decided to defy the sea of people and venture into the Edinburgh Christmas Market in Prince Street Gardens to soak up some of the Christmas spirit. However, the place was packed (even more so than the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park in London last year) so we gave up pretty quickly and went to Matthew’s folks for dinner, some vino tinto and chilling in front of a log fire instead! I managed to snap a few photos though – how beautiful isn’t that pink sunset?!

The town I’m from in Finland, Porvoo, hosts a chocolate factory called Brunberg where you can buy similar chocolate coated marshmallow treats – so I was delighted to find these at the market! (The ones from home are better though, sorry!)

Hope you all had a nice, Christmassy weekend!

PS. We finally decorated the Christmas tree – pictures to follow!

I’m a Swedish-speaking Finn who left Finland for the lovely and thrilling London town in 2011, but after meeting an equally lovely and thrilling Scotsman I somehow now find myself in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. In February 2015 our gorgeous little girl arrived and made us a happy family of three. Follow my blog and get to know us!

Great pics, they made me superduper eager to visit Edinburgh asap. A pinkless sky during my visit might leave me with a slight disappointment…
