Yet another holiday in Finland is over and our little family is reunited once again! I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult it would be to be apart from Lana for 3 weeks, so really appreciate how well Matthew is taking it all (and that he hasn’t hidden our passports yet…;))
I didn’t take many photos this time around, but I do have a few:
Lana and her 2 months older cousin got along well and for the first time they really kept each other company and played together for hours and hours.
Lana having birthday coffee and cake with her other cousins.
As I mentioned earlier Lana wasn’t too keen on snow, but I did manage to convert her in the end and she agreed to walk in snow and even push the sledge around 🙂 And the glove comes off as usual…
My wee granny <3
Lana was just as interested in the cat as always, and the poor thing didn’t get much personal space when she was around – but Musmus didn’t seem to mind Lana pulling her ears, poking her nose and eyes, inspecting her paws, using her as a pillow or giving her kisses. Must be the child-friendliest cat ever!
We scheduled in some playdates too, for example with this cute little fella who had grown so much since the last time we saw him!
Lana loves trying to dress herself, and that also applies to defenceless babies…
After our baby lunch we took a little walk in the lovely winter sun.
Porvoo old town is pretty in winter too!
We tried out an open nursery where anyone can take their kids. Here these two are obviously trying to cook something for their hungry baby 😀
We had a few coffees and cakes with my mum and dad at Cabriole cafe – this time they even had raw cake!
It’s so endearing to see how Lana hugs other babies and that she’s picked up that it’s a nice thing to do 🙂
We got to meet the cutest little newcomer <3 I refuse to believe that Lana was once that small!
Better not leave him alone with these two though…
This is not a nursery, just another playdate at a friend’s place!
I enjoyed a few Lana-free hours brunching with friends – had forgotten how amazing it is to just be able to sit down and focus on what you’re eating and gossip for hours!
I didn’t do much cooking during the holiday, but I did manage to bake this raw cheese cake that actually tasted like cheese cake! Will have to make it again and share it here as well.
Last but not least, I actually managed to finish a book during my holiday! I really enjoy Murakami’s work – partly because I just love to immerse myself in Japanese culture. In this book the protagonist also travelled to Finland, which is always interesting. Recommend!
This morning I had an interview for a job I really want, keep your fingers and toes crossed for me!
