My New Cluse Watch

cluse watch la boheme

For the past 20 years or so I’ve had no interest in wearing a watch – I just don’t like how they stick to my skin when I get a bit hot and that claustrophobic feeling of wearing something around my wrist. So I surprised myself when I suddenly found myself craving not only one, but two watches!

The watch I didn’t get is almost twice the price of this one, but oh so pretty – and Finnish design as well! It’s a wooden watch by Aarni Watches – check them out if you want to see what I’m talking about! The watch I finally opted for is a Dutch design by a company called Cluse. They’re so simple, elegant and modern and go well with everything! You can also remove the straps and replace them with other ones you can buy separately on the website. Great idea!

The straps are stainless steel and it was important that you can adjust them as my wrists are pretty skinny.

My Cluse came with a brown watch-case, which is a good place to keep it when I’m not wearing it. Trying to take these photos with Lana in the room is possibly the most stressful thing I’ve ever done!! Never again.

I guess a watch is often more of an accessory these days, but I have to say I quite like being able to check the time from my wristwatch instead of digging out my phone from my bag 🙂 And luckily that claustrophobic feeling is gone!
