OOTD – My Granny’s Top

Posted on

It’s been a loooong time since I’ve done an Outfit Of The Day post, for obvious reasons. I’m still not back to my pre-Maya body, but slowly starting to feel more and more like my old self – and feeling more confident. This has also resulted in me buying a few new pieces for my wardrobe, such as the culotte trousers I’m wearing and the rattan bag.

But what I’m most excited about in this outfit must be the top. It used to belong to my late grandmother – although you wouldn’t believe it as it’s in excellent condition, crispy white and bang on trend! I’ve had it for years and years and don’t see it disappearing from my wardrobe anytime soon. It’s made in Finland and it feels so special to wear it.

The hat I picked up on our holiday to Alcudia in Spain. Summer hats are so cool and will always hide that bad hair day – will wear this more often this summer for sure! I’ve fallen for culottes and that rusty colour, so what’s better than a combination of the two?! So comfy and versatile. It was a sunny day and the only wall in the shade we could use was red, which unfortunately doesn’t quite do the trousers justice – but hey, you can’t have it all!

The circle rattan bag is handwoven in Bali, and apparently it takes several weeks to make one. It was love at first sight and I just had to buy it when I saw it on Instagram. I’ve later discovered that quite a few people have one!

Keep scrolling for some more shots of the outfit. I was trying to be more serious and “fashion” but I think I need some more practise as I look angry/disgusted in some of the photos haha!
