New Job Celebration at ‘The Little Madness’

No, I haven’t got a job – but my boyfriend did! He is now a Digital Content Manager, happy days =) This means we can start looking for a flat, in fact we have a viewing in a couple of hours! I will be going there with my boyfriend’s parents so that I’m sure not to miss anything. It is a really nice flat in a nice area, and reasonably priced too. Trying not to get my hopes up though!

Greetings from a very rainy Edinburgh!

I think the best way to get to know a new city is just to go for a walk and get lost. During the past few days I’ve been walking a lot, basically around the whole city (twice). My boyfriend has shown me all the major areas so that I can get an opinion of my own about where to move. I still haven’t seen any ugly parts of Edinburgh so there are many areas I can see myself living in. Anyway, just wanted to share some photos I’ve been taking on my walks so that you can see how pretty it is here!

I Made a Dress!!

Happy Monday folks!

I just have to share my weekend project with the world, because I am so proud of myself 🙂 A friend of mine turned 30 yesterday, and since I wanted to give her something a little more special I decided to make her a dress – with no dressmaking experience…After hours of blood, sweat and tears (and a wee bit of help from my boyfriend’s mum) I present this to you:

My First Post!

This is it. After years of thinking about starting a blog I feel like NOW is the time to do it. I have recently moved to Edinburgh from London and want to share what the land of whiskey and kilts is like through the eyes of a Finn.

There are 3 main reasons why I want to blog:

1. I live away from friends and family and want them to be able to take part in my life. (I’m terrible at keeping in touch and letting people know what I’m up to)

2. I think most people need a creative outlet, and since I like writing and suck at drawing it has to be blogging.

3. As I stopped writing a diary years ago I think it would be great to somehow keep a record of my life that I can revisit when I want.

I’m a bit nervous about posting my personal life online, but I guess I’ll get used to it sooner or later. So please feel free to join me on my online adventure!

PS. I still don’t know what to call this blog!

PPS. The photo is from my last hours in London moving out from the flat I was sharing with one of my best friends from Finland.
