Picking Berries

I love all sorts of berries, and would happily eat them every day if they weren’t so expensive. So now when I can pick delicious and nutritious berries for free here in Finland I definitely want to make the most of it!

This is what blueberries look like in nature in case you’ve never seen them – a lot smaller than the shop bought ones, but tastier 🙂

Only the blueberries that get sun were ready to be picked, and even they were on the smaller side still – will have to go and pick more in a week or so!

This is what I accomplished – Matthew contributed with about 10 berries.

My niece is also a fan of berries, so we’ve been picking some wild strawberries that grow in abundance on my mum and dad’s yard.

Although I didn’t manage to pick too many blueberries, there was enough for my mum to make a blueberry tart – eaten with vanilla ice cream 🙂
