Saturday Play

Lana has definitely reached the age where she clearly appreciates the company of other babies and toddlers and needs more entertainment and stimulus than before. This means that we need to start taking Lana more places where she can play and spend time with other children – and last Saturday we decided to try the soft play area at the Commonwealth Pool where we used to go to the gym.

She was by far the youngest there, but after the initial “where the hell am I”-phase she definitely enjoyed herself. It’s so interesting as a parent to see how your own child behaves in new situations! She seemed to be more interested in the other kids though – but they were too old to take any interest in poor baby Lana…Matthew even took her into the ball pit where she almost disappeared between all the balls haha. Here are a few (not very good) photos from the day.

Think it’s time for us to start planning our weekends more around Lana than before, and get to know what Edinburgh has to offer for small children!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I’m a Swedish-speaking Finn who left Finland for the lovely and thrilling London town in 2011, but after meeting an equally lovely and thrilling Scotsman I somehow now find myself in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. In February 2015 our gorgeous little girl arrived and made us a happy family of three. Follow my blog and get to know us!

Awwwww how lovely, they’re quite good pictures actually! I took Callum last month and at 7 months he wasn’t particularly interested apart from trying to eat the balls. Is Lana standing up by herself or walking? She looks quite steady in the pictures
