Saturday's Outfit

A few weeks ago I entered a competition on the lovely Elisabeth’s blog Dragonfly and was lucky enough to win a necklace by Iki Koru – a Finnish jewellery collection made from recycled materials. The necklace is just my style, so I was over the moon when I won 🙂

The whole thing actually inspired me to try and do one of those “outfit posts” you see on so many blogs – although posting the photos here makes me cringe a little bit…And taking photos on the street made both me and Matthew feel a bit embarrassed  – we just tried to get it over with as quick as we could haha! Guess it takes some time to get used to it 🙂

Another reason I wanted to do this post is because I’m finally starting to feel like I want to (and have the energy to) put more effort into how I look (at least during the weekends) – after a year of basically only wearing what is comfy, what I can fit into and what makes breastfeeding easy! Not to mention the lack of interest in wearing make up…

No offence to anyone, but I don’t want to become one of those mums who completely forget about themselves when they have children – so will try and make more of an effort from now on! Needless to say, what you look like has nothing to do with how good of a mum you are, but if looking good makes me feel better, surely it will have a positive impact on Lana too?
