I always go on about all the things that are better in Finland, but one thing that is definitely better here in the UK is that spring comes so much earlier and you can spend a day on the beach in February. And Scottish beaches are also very pretty!
I was deleting photos from my laptop when I found these pics from last summer where Lana was around 7 months – and they made me smile and think of summer – so thought I’d share them here too as a reminder of that there will be sun and warmth one day again! This is a beach in North Berwick a short train ride from Edinburgh.
I’ve been missing the sea lately, so although the weather wasn’t great we took the train to North Berwick yesterday. It’s a lovely little coastal town only a 30-minute train ride from Edinburgh. It was low-tide when we were there, so it was perfect for some rockpooling. All we found was a drowned crab, lots of smaller crab carcasses and a few living ones. Plus a couple of golf balls from the nearby course (that we took home with us).
