Today was one of those good days when I just woke up in a good mood and didn’t even feel tired although I barely slept last night (both Lana and trouble falling asleep are to blame). The sun was shining from a blue sky once again and the lawn was glistening with frost. Yup, we’re down to minus degrees already! I didn’t bring warm enough clothes for Lana (I don’t think she even owns clothes that warm), so we had to get her some wintry stuff.
Summer is over, September is here and it’s time to stop slouching and get back on track – and to do so I needed new running shoes (I left my old ones in Finland). Asics has been my shoe of choice ever since I started running 6 years ago, but after visiting the Nike outlet last weekend and finding these babies for a very very good price I decided to give Nike a go. Not usually a fan of pink, but have to admit they do brighten up the run!
As the weather in Edinburgh has been amazingly sunny I decided to go for a run to get to know my new area. I ended up in Holyrood Park that is basically on our doorstep and that largely consists of the 250 m high hill Arthur’s Seat. I really wanted to take some nice photos for my blog so I went back home to get my camera, and finally got around to climb the damn hill! It only took me around 10 minutes, so this can definitely be a part of my exercise routine.
