To My Super-Dad

It’s Finnish Father’s Day today, so just wanted to wish my own father a Happy Father’s Day – or “Hyvää Isänpäivää” as we say in Finnish!

My dad does everything for us – from building a house to cooking our Sunday dinners to driving his children and grandchildren wherever they need to be. (No matter what time our flights are I can always count on getting a lift.)

My dad knows pretty much everything and can do pretty much everything. He’s got both the practical skills and the theoretical skills needed to solve most problems, which his children (including me) still take advantage of. And again, he would never say no when we ask for help.

My dad has worked hard all his life to be able to provide 6 (!) children with everything they need – and never have we been without anything. (We are quite spoiled to be honest. But in a good way.)

My dad is a true family man who always puts his family first. He is, always has been and always will be there for us.

Mahtavaa Isänpäivää maailman parhaalle isälle!!!

I’m a Swedish-speaking Finn who left Finland for the lovely and thrilling London town in 2011, but after meeting an equally lovely and thrilling Scotsman I somehow now find myself in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. In February 2015 our gorgeous little girl arrived and made us a happy family of three. Follow my blog and get to know us!
