When You Forget You Have A Daughter

If you read my last post you might remember how I was bragging about getting quite good at travelling with a baby/toddler. Well I think I have to eat my words now as we almost didn’t make the flight. Not because we were late, but because I had forgotten to book a flight for Lana!

The guy at KLMs desk didn’t look happy when he had to get on the phone to try and sort things out, and he just kept repeating that I’d forgotten to book a flight for my daughter. I felt like a massive idiot and a shit mum and I was sure we were going to have to stay in Edinburgh after 10 minutes on the phone and not a single smile from the man – but finally he just said I need to pay £28 and we can get on the plane. Woohoo! He even asked if I want our stroller on our stopover in Amsterdam, which I didn’t hesitate to say yes thank you to!schipholbabystroller

When we arrived in Amsterdam there was no sign of the pram though, and after having asked a few people I figured it’s either gone missing or it’ll go straight to Helsinki. (We got it in Helsinki thank god.) Since there are no strollers on Amsterdam airport I eventually decided to try putting Lana into the luggage carrier basket – and she fit just like a glove 🙂 I know it’s not the safest option, but my arms just couldn’t take it anymore and she was so snug she could barely move anyway…

kissaonflightAll in all we had a good trip with clear skies and amazing views of snowy peaks in Scotland/England and Lana being her usual charming self. The seats next to us were empty, so Kissa got his own seat too 🙂 I even managed to get a bite to eat on our stopover whilst Lana was playing with another little girl. Today I took Lana out in the snow, but she was not impressed at all – just thought it was cold and weird. She ate a little though.

snowbabyLast time I booked the wrong flight and got Lana’s name wrong, and this time I forgot to book a flight for her altogether…I clearly need a supervisor when booking flights. Think I need to check our holiday flights too as I was the one who booked them…:O

I’m a Swedish-speaking Finn who left Finland for the lovely and thrilling London town in 2011, but after meeting an equally lovely and thrilling Scotsman I somehow now find myself in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. In February 2015 our gorgeous little girl arrived and made us a happy family of three. Follow my blog and get to know us!

Hahaha, roligt!
